A warrant service on Tuesday evening at a Lakeland mobile home park resulted in two arrests after the inhabitants originally refused to cooperate with law officers. On March 10, 2026, at around 5:30 p.m., Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies came at M&M Park, located at 5800 New Tampa Highway, to look for Patricia Lyn Richards, age 60.
Richards was wanted on an active warrant for violating pretrial release. Her original accusations were grand theft, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies arrived at the apartment and declared their presence, but received no answer. Investigators reported hearing a man and a woman conversing from inside the home. Deputies spent a long period of time hammering on the door and shouting demands, but the occupants did not acknowledge them or open it.
After repeated verbal orders and banging, Richards finally opened the door and surrendered to authorities.
Richards was arrested and detained on her outstanding warrant. Chad Everett Adcock, age 53, was also arrested at the site.
Both Richards and Adcock were charged with resisting an officer without using violence. Both individuals were then brought to the Polk County Jail.
