On Monday, April 6, 2026, at around 6:15 p.m., Worcester police responded to Laurel Street after receiving a report of a firearm-related assault.
According to the Worcester Police Department, the victim reported that four people in a vehicle approached him and attempted to rob him while brandishing a pistol.
Police said officers spotted the suspect car on Orient Street and conducted a high-risk motor vehicle stop with the assistance of other officers.
Four juvenile males were taken from the vehicle and apprehended, according to Worcester police. Investigators retrieved one firearm from one of the suspects and discovered another handgun inside the vehicle.
All four juveniles were apprehended and “charged accordingly,” according to authorities.
The Worcester Police Department’s Crime Scene Unit responded to retrieve the guns.
