Cleveland Police arrested a man after an early Friday morning shooting that left a 36-year-old man dead.
According to a police release, officers received a ShotSpotter alert around 1:10 a.m. in the 3600 block of E. 117th Street.
The incident occurred in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood.
Before officers arrived, they received another call reporting a shooting.
When officers reached the scene, they found a 36-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. They provided first aid until Cleveland EMS arrived.
EMS transported the victim to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators developed information about a possible suspect and, with assistance from the Real Time Crime Center, located a suspect vehicle.
Cleveland Police arrested a 30-year-old man and recovered a firearm.
According to the release, charges remain pending, and the Cleveland Police Homicide Unit continues to investigate.
