Trans killer who strangled baby stepdaughter to death is spotted roaming the streets after being quietly released 30 years early

A transgender killer who strangled an 11-month-old to death has been seen walking freely after being quietly released 30 years early.

Autumn Cordellioné was found guilty of killing infant stepdaughter Faith Lee in 2002 and received a 55-year prison sentence.

The killer had been babysitting stepdaughter Faith, the child of Cordellioné’s girlfriend, at their home in Evansville when the then-19-year-old strangled the defenseless baby.

Cordellioné has now walked free after serving less than half of the sentence, and the violent offender is back on the streets in the Indiana city.

In a shocking development, authorities were not notified of the release.

The prosecutor’s office only learned that the child killer was at large after a member of the public spotted them on the street and alerted police.

The observant passerby recognized the murderer from the 2002 trial, when Autumn Cordellioné was still known by birth name Jonathan Richardson.

Cordellioné transitioned in 2020 after receiving a diagnosis of gender dysphoria.

The convict drew public attention last year after filing a $3.5 million lawsuit against President Donald Trump over “transphobic hate speech”.

In March 2025, the murderer also won a lawsuit against Indiana prison officials over a ban on gender-transition surgery for inmates.

The lawsuit triggered widespread backlash, with Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita stating: “Convicted murderers don’t get to demand that taxpayers foot the bill for expensive and controversial sex-change operations.

“It lacks all common sense”.

The exact date of the inmate’s release remains unclear, though records from the Indiana Department of Corrections list the earliest possible discharge as December 29, 2025.

Since being freed, Cordellioné has set up multiple social media accounts and has claimed innocence, describing time in prison as “hell”.

The convicted individual wrote in a Facebook post: “I made mistakes as a kid at 18 years old, I will never forgive myself for that, there is no excuse for what happened, and I would have made different decisions if I could change the past.

“I still say I’m innocent; I didn’t murder her.”
