29 arrested following drug bust in Indiana

A monthslong Indiana State Police investigation known as “Operation Clocked Out” has resulted in 29 arrests tied to a drug distribution network, according to officials.

Jefferson County Prosecutor David Sutter confirmed that the arrests pertain to the distribution of methamphetamine, cocaine, hydrocodone, and alprazolam tablets.

The investigation began in February, when authorities uncovered a large methamphetamine supplier operating in Jefferson County.

Officials say William Taylor was apprehended while returning to Jefferson County from Louisville, Kentucky. He has been accused of distributing methamphetamine, and further charges are expected.

Throughout the investigation, several law enforcement agencies collaborated to apprehend scores of other people on April 15. Authorities believe Taylor was distributing cocaine to others in the region.

The Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office, Madison Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section, Kentucky State Police Campbellsburg Post, and the United States Marshals Service are among the agencies working on the inquiry.

The investigation is underway.
