Warren Man Gets 6-9 Years sentence for Fentanyl, Heroin Trafficking After Deep Probe

A man arrested during what investigators described at the time as a “deep investigation” into drug activity has now learned his sentence after pleading guilty to charges earlier this year.

Darius Priest received a prison sentence of 6–9 years on Wednesday. He pleaded guilty in February to multiple felony drug charges, including trafficking in fentanyl and heroin, as well as possession of cocaine.

The court noted that he has served two prior prison terms and still has another case pending before Judge Westcott.

Authorities arrested Priest in June 2025 while executing a search warrant at a residence in the 1500 block of Tod Avenue NW. During the search, detectives seized illegal narcotics totaling about 3.8 ounces, including crack cocaine, cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl.
