TOLEDO, Ohio — A woman received a 15-year prison sentence on Wednesday in connection with a deadly shooting in east Toledo.
Andreania Pruitt, 32, pleaded guilty on April 8 to one count of murder and one count of felonious assault.
The shooting took place in November 2025 in the 2000 block of Starr Avenue, near Dearborn Avenue. Police determined that the gunfire was directed into a crowd.
35-year-old Devonta Miller, whom police identified as Pruitt’s boyfriend, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead. An autopsy report from the Lucas County Coroner’s Office ruled his death a homicide.
A second victim, a 39-year-old man, was also found at the scene with at least one gunshot wound. He was expected to survive.
Detectives found that the two victims had been involved in a fight before the shooting occurred.
