U.S. Issues Warning For 2 States Preparing For 70 MPH Winds

The United States has issued a wind warning for two states, expecting 65 to 70 MPH gusts on Monday, May 4.

Strong wind gusts are expected in two major U.S. states on Monday, with gusts potentially reaching deadly levels.

“Travel will be challenging, particularly for high-profile vehicles such as campers, vans, and tractor trailers. “Severe turbulence near the mountains will be hazardous for low-flying light aircraft,” the alert states.

“Use caution if flying low near the mountains as severe turbulence is possible.”

The two US states bracing for strong winds on Monday and Tuesday are:

  • California
  • Texas

The Guadalupe Mountains in west Texas and southeast New Mexico could be struck by 70 MPH winds.

Winds of up to 65 mph could affect California’s Apple and Lucerne Valleys, as well as San Gorgonio Pass near Banning. Winds gusting to 50 mph could also affect the Indian Wells Valley and Mojave Desert.
