An unlicensed Shaker Heights dentist was charged on Monday with practicing without a license and generating more than $400,000 in proceeds.
According to a Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office announcement, Jazemen Lyons, 37, owned and ran Smile Lounge in Shaker Heights between 2022 and 2025.
The prosecutor’s office accused Lyons of practicing dentistry and orthodontics without a license, alleging that she earned more than $400,000.
Lyons was indicted for the following crimes on Monday:
- Two counts of telecommunications fraud (F2)
- Two counts of money laundering (F3)
- One count of possessing criminal tools (F5)
- One count of trademark counterfeiting (M1)
- One count of prohibitions concerning pure food and drugs (M4)
