Louisville man apprehended on 20 counts of possession of child pornography

Jacob Snell, 28, is in jail after being charged with 20 counts of possessing sexually performance material by a minor under the age of twelve.

The LMPD detained Snell last week.

According to an arrest citation, Google submitted a cybertip alleging that 172 photographs of minors under the age of 12 were downloaded to Google Photos using a Gmail address. After officers obtained a search warrant, they discovered that the email belonged to Snell.

Snell admitted to possessing the email account during an interview with LMPD. He was also quizzed about the photos.
