State police say they made a total of 87 people who were arrested during “Operation Nighthawk,” a one-of-a-kind DUI checkpoint enforcement campaign that lasted two days.
From May 8 to 9, Pennsylvania State Police Troop R in Dunmore welcomed approximately 75 state and municipal police personnel for Operation Nighthawk.
During the enforcement campaign, police stopped 486 drivers and issued various arrests and tickets:
- DUI Arrests: 59
- Drug Arrests: 28
- Driving Under Suspension Citations: 20
- Driving Under Suspension DUI: 9
- Seatbelt Citations: 19
- Other Traffic Citations: 210
- Underage Drinking Arrest: 1
- Misdemeanor/Felony Wanted Individuals Arrests: 8
Troopers from Troops F, M, N, P, R, and the Bureau of Patrol took part in the detail.
