Over 25 charged in nationwide Tren de Aragua crackdown involving guns, drugs and cash

Federal authorities charged over 25 alleged members and associates of Tren de Aragua (TdA), seizing over 80 firearms, roughly 18 kilograms of drugs, and over $100,000 in cash as part of a sweeping crackdown on the violent transnational gang.

President Donald Trump helped unleash the full might of federal authorities by classifying TdA as a foreign terrorist organization last year. Over 260 TDA members and associates are currently facing charges.

The FBI and its partners are breaking down deadly gang networks across the country, as seen by the recent arrest of 25 Tren de Aragua members, according to a statement from Director Kash Patel.

Under President Trump’s leadership, the historic Homeland Security Task Force model is making America safer than it has been in generations, and we will not stop until we have eliminated these criminal networks from our neighborhoods.

According to federal investigators, the operation focused on alleged TDA activity related to gun trafficking, drug distribution, and other violent criminal conduct. Investigators discovered fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy, ketamine, MDMA, and tusi, a pink powder that frequently contained ketamine and MDMA.

Charges have been brought in six United States Attorney’s offices, including the Districts of Colorado, Southern Florida, Northern Indiana, Middle Tennessee, Western Tennessee, and Eastern Washington.

The bust highlights the Trump administration’s efforts to destroy foreign gang networks operating in the US, notably TdA, which has faced investigation from law enforcement for alleged involvement in violent crime, drug trafficking, and migrant-related criminal networks.

In a few days, the Justice Department and its partners on Joint Task Force Vulcan carried out a nationwide takedown of vicious Tren de Aragua terrorist networks—depraved, violent offenders who have illegally invaded our country and preyed upon American communities,” Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “This effort highlights the Trump administration’s dedication to restoring public safety, dismantling violent firearms and drug

Federal immigration officials praised the operation, citing a concerted effort by numerous law enforcement organizations.

“The success of this operation is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our HSI special agents and the unwavering commitment of our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners,” said John Condon, acting executive associate director of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

The Homeland Security Task Force aims to protect the US against transnational threats through intelligence-driven investigations and effective interagency collaboration. This TdA takedown highlights the effectiveness of coordinated action in destroying dangerous criminal networks and protecting our communities.”
