A Mississippi state representative faces charges following his arrest in Hernando on Friday.
According to DeSoto County jail records, Republican Representative Jeff Hale has been charged with disorderly conduct, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and speeding.
According to records, Hale bonded out of jail on Saturday. He is expected to appear in court on August 26.
Hale represents DeSoto County’s District 24. He has held the position since 2016.
According to the Mississippi Legislature, Hale belongs to the Southern Rotary Club, the Bridgetown Fire Department, and the Mississippi Firefighters Association.
