A strange death is being investigated after a man was discovered dead inside his vehicle after exiting a Los Angeles County casino on Sunday night.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to KTLA that deputies were dispatched to the 11600 block of East Carson Street in Lakewood shortly after 10 p.m. in response to a report of a man not breathing.
Paramedics who arrived on the scene pronounced the victim, a man in his 40s, dead. No information on the cause of death was immediately available.
The victim is thought to have exited a neighboring casino with a buddy. The speaker did not name the casino, but the Gardens Casino in Hawaiian Gardens is less than a half mile away.
Investigators classified the death as suspicious. The representative stated that no arrests have been made and that no one, including the friend, is in detention.
No information about a probable suspect or why the death was deemed suspicious has been disclosed.
