At 11:48 p.m. on May 26, 2026, Houston Police responded to reports of many people being shot in the 2300 block of South Highway 6.
Responding authorities discovered one male suffering from deadly gunshot wounds, who was pronounced dead on the scene.
A second male victim, thought to be in his late teens or early twenties, was discovered with several gunshot wounds and taken to a local hospital in severe condition.
Authorities reportedly reported that a third victim, an unrelated female driver traveling through the area on her way home, was hurt by shattered glass after a stray bullet struck her vehicle. She was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
According to investigators, many bullets were fired as a big group assembled in a parking lot before proceeding to a nearby lounge.
Police are currently investigating if the gunfire came from a passing vehicle or from someone gathered in the parking lot.
The investigation is underway.
