According to a Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesperson, the man was discovered unresponsive at 4:30 a.m. in the parking lot of a business in the 5700 block of Forward Avenue. He was later pronounced dead at the spot.

On Sunday night, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Sadao Oka, 56, of Wilkins Township.

Our crew observed police officers conducting an investigation in an auto shop parking lot.

According to the spokeswoman, the injuries he sustained were consistent with being run over by a vehicle.

A woman was arrested and is being interviewed at the Pittsburgh Police Department headquarters. The Mobile Crime Unit is processing evidence.

The finding on Sunday has left the neighbors terrified.

“It’s pretty safe around here,” said Wole Idowu, a frequent walker on Forward Avenue.

Idowu stated that hearing about the discovery near his home was disturbing.

“No, that’s terrible; I never would expect that in this neighborhood,” he replied.

Another frequent walker in the vicinity, who preferred not to be identified, said the incident caught him off guard.

“I’m a person who doesn’t drive, so I walk a lot, and this is something that scares me,” he replied.

People told us they hope investigators can soon determine what happened in the normally calm area.

“We’re near a school zone; multiple children are always around, and it’s a big community here. … Every life is precious,” Idowu replied.
