2 Men robbed at gunpoint in downtown Chicago

Two men were robbed at gunpoint by a group of suspects early Monday morning in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.

The robbery took place at around 3:45 a.m. in the 600 block of North Clark Street.

According to Chicago police, a 19-year-old man and a 23-year-old man were standing outside when they were approached by a gang of five to six unknown offenders.

According to investigators, the suspects displayed two guns and demanded the victims’ personal property. Both victims met the demands.

Following the theft of the victims’ items, the suspects fled the scene eastbound on Ontario Street, according to police.

Neither victim was hurt during the incident.

No arrests have been made, and authorities have not published descriptions of the perpetrators.

Area Three detectives are investigating the incident.
