Two men were arrested after a car stop in Severn revealed a loaded shotgun, suspected drugs, and cash, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
The traffic stop occurred around 4:35 p.m. on May 30 near Annapolis Road and Disney Road.
Police said police searched the vehicle based on probable cause. During the search, investigators discovered a loaded Mossberg 590 shotgun, extra shotgun ammunition, numerous suspected illegal narcotics, and around $1,500 in cash.
Police said the suspected narcotics included MDMA, cocaine, Alprazolam, Adderall, and fentanyl.
The vehicle’s occupants were both brought into custody.
Police identified the suspects as Brian Anthony Cobb, 33, of Severn, and Stephen Anthony McCoy, 61, of Mount Airy.
Additional information on the charges was not immediately disclosed. The investigation is underway.
