Why Fundraising is Important to Fire Departments

All BBQ proceeds assist with the continued operation of the individual departments. To outfit one firefighter with gear it costs an average of $12,000. A new fire truck just for the base truck is $500,000. Firefighters in Meigs County are all volunteer and spend countless hours training, preparing and serving their neighbors in their respective villages and municipalities.
