Texas Man Detained After Threatening CVS Employees While Seeking Fraudulently Purchased Items

Montgomery County Department of Police detectives detained a Texas man in connection with an alleged credit card fraud and theft investigation that led them to a CVS in Kensington.

According to authorities, 24-year-old Elijah Gonzalez of Houston, Texas, is accused of using a victim’s credit card to make fraudulent Costco transactions on May 12. Investigators discovered that the merchandise had been transported to a CVS on University Boulevard West, where employees indicated that Gonzalez had previously come looking for the shipments.

Gonzalez was arrested after investigators discovered he was carrying a fake government ID. He was charged with stealing between $1,500 and $25,000, possessing a false official identification paper, and other charges.
