The New York Police Department has apprehended a suspect in connection with a shooting aboard a Queens subway train on April 27.
The incident occurred on the northbound A train at 6 p.m., according to police. As the train approached the 80th Street subway station, a 15-year-old boy was shot in the neck and back.
On April 29, a 16-year-old was arrested and charged with attempted murder, three counts of assault, and two charges of criminal possession of a firearm.
On Thursday, the NYPD apprehended a second suspect, 19-year-old Matthew Rodriguez, and charged him with the same offenses.
The victim was sent to a local hospital in stable condition.
According to the police, the yelling match led to the gunshot.
