A Massachusetts woman has her plans set after winning large on a state lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Taylor Johnson of Newbury has won the first $1 million grand prize in the “$1,000,000 High Roller” $5 quick ticket game.
She chose the cash option for her award, prize, receiving a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). Johnson intends to use the proceeds to purchase a new car and a home.
She bought her winning ticket at Shell on 81 Storey Avenue in Newburyport. The retailer will receive a bonus of $10,000 for selling this ticket. The $1,000,000 High Roller has four $1,000,000 prizes left.
