Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have accused an illegal alien of raping a 16-year-old girl at random on Long Island, New York.
Aureliano Antonio Melendez Reyes, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, was arrested in Huntington, New York, and charged with rape, sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to investigators, on June 6, the little girl was walking home when Reyes approached her and requested her phone number. When the girl refused, Reyes allegedly forced her into an alleyway and sexually attacked her.
The girl ultimately fought Reyes off and called 911 as the illegal alien pursued her, according to authorities. When authorities got on the scene, they detained Reyes.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials are requesting Governor Kathy Hochul (D) to intercede and ensure that Reyes is turned over to ICE authorities rather than being freed from jail.
“This monster is charged with rape, sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child after he raped a 16-year-old girl who was walking home,” Lauren Bis of DHS stated.
“This sexual predator should never have been in our nation and allowed to prey on this young girl. DHS is urging Governor Kathy Hochul and her fellow sanctuary politicians in New York to agree to not releasing this criminal illegal alien from custody and turning him over to ICE,” Bis stated. ” New York sanctuary politicians must not release criminals from jail into New York communities.”
Reyes entered the United States as an unknown escapee. In July 1998, a federal immigration judge issued a final deportation order for Reyes, but he was never deported.
