A 15-year-old boy was shot in the parking lot of a McDonald’s in Chicago on Saturday, resulting in a major police response.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m., after a verbal altercation between the 15-year-old and another person escalated, and the other person pulled out a revolver and discharged it in the McDonald’s parking lot at 740 E. 47th St. in the city’s Bronzeville neighborhood.
The teenager was shot in the chest, according to officials. He was taken to a local hospital and was initially listed in fair condition.
Following the shooting, video released on social media showed a massive police presence in the parking lot.
Police are still investigating.
No other information was immediately provided.
