Three men were taken into custody after a welfare check at a motel near Dallas Fort Worth International Airport for suspected narcotics activities.
According to the Irving Police Department, officers arrived at the Super 8 Hotel on Highway 114, on the north side of DFW Airport, around 8:10 p.m. on June 19 to conduct a welfare check.
Officers arrested three people during the inquiry and after a consensual contact in a hotel room.
Mario Joseph Garcia, 35, of Irving, was charged with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1/1-B for less than one gram. Police also learned Garcia had an outstanding Grand Prairie Police Department warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Joe Calvin Taulton, 42, of Mesquite, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1/1-B, under one gram.
Carlos Fitzgerald, 25, was arrested and charged with failure to identify by providing false information.
All three individuals were booked into Irving Jail.
