Apparent human remains discovered in Chicago alley

Chicago police said the remains were found around 9:30 a.m. in the 300 block of East 68th Street. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office also attended to the incident.

The discovery is roughly three miles from where the remains of Zenobia Weatherspoon, 30, were discovered earlier this month inside a garbage can in an alley near 54th Street and South Union Avenue.

Authorities have not stated if the two investigations are related, and police say there is currently no evidence linking the crimes.

The inquiry is still ongoing, thus no new information has been revealed.
