A Miami woman was apprehended months after investigators claimed she intentionally rammed a vehicle carrying a woman and her minor stepson before threatening and abusing the driver.
According to a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office arrest record, 30-year-old Leatha Bouie was arrested on Tuesday in Northwest Miami-Dade in connection with an incident on October 30, 2025, along Northwest 101st Street and Northwest 12th Avenue.
According to investigators, the woman was transporting her minor stepson to school when Bouie purposefully crashed into her vehicle.
The victim told officers she attempted to reverse away, but Bouie allegedly struck the vehicle again.
According to authorities, Bouie then got out of her vehicle and started kicking and punching the victim’s SUV.
The woman told officers she exited her vehicle with a weapon and repeatedly requested Bouie to leave her alone. According to investigators, Bouie approached the victim and pushed him.
The victim, fearing for her safety, fired one bullet into the ground to scare Bouie away, according to the police report. There were no reported injuries from the gunfire.
Investigators also stated that Bouie’s 1-year-old child was inside her vehicle throughout the event.
Deputies arrested Bouie on Tuesday after detectives identified her as the suspect.
Bouie faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, child abuse without serious bodily harm, criminal mischief in damage, and battery.
The judge determined probable cause and placed Bouie’s total bond at $7,150.
