A 49-year-old Islamorada man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after authorities linked him to the theft of about $1,200 worth of stone pavers from a local waterfront business.
Robert Daniel Oden faces a grand theft charge following an investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies went to Lorelei Restaurant and Cabana Bar on Sept. 2, 2026, after employees reported that a pallet of stone pavers had gone missing. Investigators later obtained an arrest warrant for Oden as they continued looking into the theft.
Around 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 22, deputies found Oden riding a bicycle near Mile Marker 81. They arrested him without incident and took him to the local jail.
The Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains active, and authorities could make additional arrests or file more charges.
