Racine Hardware open for business
RACINE, Ohio – There is a new hardware in town. Racine Hardware is open for business, according to new owner Ronnie Burkhamer.
Burkhamer purchased the Wagner Hardware building on Sixth Street in Racine. He has 20 plus years of experience in the hardware business. The store is currently open, although a grand opening is supposed to be planned at a later date.
He started this adventure by trying to help Mayor Scott Hill find someone to open a hardware in Racine. He had someone in mind but it fell through. When he advised Mayor Hill, Hill asked why could Burkhamer not do it. Burkhamer said, “If the Lord is willing, I will do it.”
Burkhamer set some goals and said that if this goal was met, he would keep going. He would set another goal and if it was meant to be, he would go further. That continued to happen with one thing falling into place after another until Burkhamer said he finally realized the Lord was saying do it.
Burkhamer said the Racine community needed a general hardware store. He saw a need and decided to work to fill it. Burknamer said that he hoped others would do the same thing and invest locally in our communities.
The store will have general things such as paint, nails, bolts, door knobs, pipe, plumbing supplies, keys, and other things that the community needs. Racine Hardware is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
