Opal E. Diddle
Opal E. Diddle, 97, Grove City, Ohio and formerly of Racine, passed away at 1:45 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 in the Brookdale Pinnacle Senior Living in Grove City, Ohio. Born July 3, 1925 in Letart Township of Meigs County she was the daughter of the late Bart and Mammie Peacock Miller. She was a homemaker and a member of the Antiquity Baptist Church.
She married Bernard J. Diddle on July 3, 1947 in Cattlettsburg, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2012.
Opal is survived by two sons, George H. Diddle, of Hillard, Ohio and Tom B. (Sharon) Diddle, of Portersville, Pennyslvania, grandchildren, Steven Diddle, Bob Don Didle, Holly Panazzi, Amanda Diddle, Hayley Pullin and Christine Diddle. Several great-grandchildren also survived. Opal is also survived by a sister, Jean Fisher, of Gallipolis and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Don Diddle, daughter-in-law, Cathy Diddle, sisters, Irene Hayman, Lydia Schultz and Cora Mae Byers and brothers, Robert Miller, William Miller, Lewis Miller and Fred E. Miller Sr.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday. January 12, 2023 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Fisher. Interment will be in the Letart Falls Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 Noon and until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
