Meigs Property Tax Collection Increased

Most people to do not like paying taxes. Taxes, locally can make a difference. For several years Meigs County has been working on increasing collections, clearing large back amounts, etc.

According to Meigs County Treasurer Tim Ihle, the collection of second half of Real Estate taxes and Manufactured Home taxes deadline was August 9. The Meigs County Auditor certified a total collection of $20,333,492.80 for the year of 2023, collected in 2024. This reflects an increase over last year of $628,465.99.

Treasurer Ihle expressed thanks for property owners who keep up on their property taxes.
