3 Men Detained In Connection With Armed Robbery In Orange County

Three Los Angeles County men were detained in connection with an armed robbery in Fullerton in May following nearly four months of investigation, according to police.

The initial incident occurred on May 10, when Fullerton Police Department officers were summoned to the 2700 block of W. Orangethorpe Avenue after learning of the heist, according to a news release from the department.

“The victims were walking to their vehicle when they were confronted by multiple males who held them at gunpoint and stole various high-end pieces of jewelry,” investigators said.

By the time authorities arrived, the suspects had left.

Detectives determined that the crime was targeted and that the perpetrators followed the victims across various locations before robbing them.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Orange County Violent Crimes Task Force, which includes certain FPD investigators, executed various search warrants on SeptemSeptember 10. The investigators discovered evidence of the crime along with items that had been stolen from the victims, according to the news report. release.

All three suspects were arrested. They have been identified as Gavin Stafford, 19, of Compton; George Barragan, 20, of Whittier; and Donald Jones, 21, of Los Angeles.
