Police are investigating an unexpected shooting today near Eastlawn Elementary School, which resulted in the arrest of six teenagers on felony charges.
According to the Pascagoula Police Department, the gunshots began around 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23rd, on Odom Street in Pascagoula.
According to police, the victim was shot on Odom Street but managed to drive himself to the parking lot of Eastlawn Elementary on Ingalls Avenue to seek help.
School officials said they contacted authorities, and when officers got to the scene, they detained several teenagers suspected of being engaged in the shooting.

According to police, the teenagers have been charged with serious assault, but their names have not been revealed due to their being minors.
Investigators underlined that, while the victim entered the school grounds following the shooting, the incident did not occur inside the building, and no students or staff were injured.
