Cleveland Police detained two teenage girls on Friday for their involvement in a car break-in.
Police claimed that around 9 p.m., FLOCK cameras identified a stolen car moving through the Ohio City and Gordon Square communities of East Cleveland.
Officers discovered the vehicle in a parking area at West 73rd Street and Detroit Avenue and attempted a traffic stop, police said.
The vehicle’s occupants refused to comply and ran to a dead end in the parking lot before fleeing on foot in various directions, according to authorities.
Officers arrested a 13- and 17-year-old girl for receiving stolen property. Police stated the 13-year-old was a missing child from Maple Heights.
The two were processed at the Juvenile Detention Home before being released to their caregivers along with home detention monitors, according to authorities.
