The Nebraska State Patrol apprehended a man Wednesday morning in connection with a Milwaukee homicide investigation. According to State Patrol spokesperson Cody Thomas, they have received information regarding a person of interest who is thought to be traveling in Nebraska.
“A trooper spotted the vehicle as it was westbound between Omaha and Lincoln,” Thomas recounts. Around 7:45 a.m., additional troopers responded and made a felony traffic stop near Waverly.
Thomas said the driver, a man in his 30s, was arrested without incident. I-80 was closed for roughly 30 minutes. He is still in detention pending extradition to Milwaukee.
