Fort Worth, TX — A noticeable cool-down is on the way for North and Central Texas as a cold front moves through on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth. The front will bring a modest 20–30% chance of light showers, mainly near and east of Interstate 35, before cooler air settles in for the middle of the week.
Temperatures will take a sharp turn downward. After highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s on Monday, much of the region will top out in the low to mid-60s by Wednesday. In the Dallas–Fort Worth area, midweek highs are expected to hover around 63°F. Waco and Temple should see highs near 66°F, while Sherman and Denison may only reach about 60°F on Wednesday.
Overnight lows will trend cooler as well, slipping into the 40s for many locations by mid-to-late week. Overall rain chances remain limited, with most of the light precipitation expected Tuesday as the front passes.
Motorists should anticipate breezy conditions with the frontal passage and the first distinctly cooler stretch of the fall season.
