Job Fair Slated for Wednesday, Manpower to Conduct Open Interviews the Following Monday
GALLIPOLIS – Job fair and open interviews offer Meigs Countians the opportunity to talk with employers, and seek jobs.
The Gallia County Commissioners in conjunction with Gallia County Economic Development and Job and Family Services are hosting an employment fair on Wednesday, March 12.
The job fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Quality Inn, 577 S.R. 7 North, Gallipolis.
Attendance is free and open to everyone. The employment fair is a great opportunity for those seeking jobs in and around Gallia County. It will also provide an opportunity to meet and talk to potential employers personally.
Employers slated to attend include: Abbyshire Place Nursing & Rehab; Advanced Home Solutions; Arbors; AEP River Operations; Asplundh; Auto Zone; Bellios Foods; Bob’s Market; Career Connections; Digital Works; Gallia County Local Schools; Gallipolis Career College; GKN Sinter Metals; Goodwill; Holzer Health System; Lakin Correctional Center; Manpower; Ohio Valley Bank; Papa Johns; Peoples Bank; Reliable Staffing; Rent-a-Center; ResCare; Rio Grande Community College; Rural King Supply; Spring Valley Tire; Thomas Do-It Center; Tractor Supply; U.S. Army/Army Reserves; Verizon; Wal-Mart; Wiseman Agency; Woodland Center; Woodman of the World; and Wright’s Tree Service.
One of the employers, Manpower, will also be conducting open interviews Monday, March 17. Manpower is recruiting for production line positions at the Toyota plant. They are currently creating a large pool of applicants for positions as Toyota is looking to hire, according to Stacy Britain, director of recruiting for Manpower.
Manpower will be in Middleport from 8 a.m. to noon at the Meigs County Job and Family Services. They will then be conducting open interviews in Gallipolis that same day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Gallia County Job and Family Services.
