Book SalePomeroy, Oh – The Pomeroy branch or the Meigs County District Public Library will be hosting their annual Friends of the Library book sale next week. The sale will start at 9:00a.m. on June 2 and continue till 6:00p.m. that evening. It will pick back up the following morning of June 3 at 9:00a.m. and wrap up at 4:00p.m. that afternoon.

Some of the books in the sale are comprised of library books that were removed from the library’s collection to make room for new books for patrons to enjoy; while others were donated by generous patrons to help support the library through the sale.

All books will be for donation only; no books will have a set price. Donations from the sale will be used to benefit the Friends of the Library. The Friends help sponsor and promote library programs as well as support library legislation development and polices, and support adequate tax income for libraries. The Friends of the Library also help sponsor the upcoming Summer Reading Program the Meigs County District Public Library host every year.

The Friends of the Library will also be accepting new members at the book sale. If you are interested in becoming a Friend and helping your local
library the fee is five dollars for an individual, or ten dollars for a family to join.

The Friends of the Library and the staff of the Meigs County District Public Library encourage you to bring a box, bag, tote, or anything else you can carry and take as many books home with you as possible. The Friends and the library greatly appreciate the community’s support and enthusiasm in the book sale each year.
