Meigs Sheriff’s deputies take Stewart into custody after search
UPDATED – Brandon Levi Stewart was taken into custody by Meigs Sheriff’s deputies around 4:30 p.m.
Shots were fired when he was taken into custody. The suspect was not shot and deputies were not shot either according to Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood.

POMEROY – A suspect with felony warrants is being sought by law enforcement in Meigs and Gallia Counties.
The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking information as to the whereabouts of Brandon Levi Stewart. Stewart, 20, is wanted for Grand Theft in Meigs County and also has felony warrants in Gallia County.
Stewart is described as being 6’02” tall, weighs approximately 170 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes. Stewart was seen on Leading Creek Road. It was reported to deputies that and information that Stewart has a firearm in his possession. Stewart should not be approached and law enforcement should be contacted immediately if anyone should see him.
