RACINE, Ohio – The Racine Southern FFA Chapter held their annual fruit sale this year in November.
Racine Southern FFA uses fruit sales as fundraiser every year amongst other FFA chapters across the United States. Items sold include oranges, apples, apple cider, sweet potatoes, grapefruit, pears, pineapple, fruit baskets, and BBQ sauces.
The top fruit seller was Dylan Lyons this year. Lyons had $1,400 in sales. The total sales were $9,000.
The FFA would like to thank Jeremy Rose with Roses Excavating for helping unload all of the fruit and Tara Roberts, Ohio River Producers (FFA Alumni) President; for helping with the baskets and making the day run smoothly. The Racine Southern FFA chapter would also like to thank everyone who sold and bought fruit this year. The members stated they are looking forward to next year’s sales and hope all of their customers enjoy their fruit.
