“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

The other day I received an email for a prayer request for a friend who is facing surgery for cancer. I read the request aloud to the rest of my family. My three year old granddaughter said. “We should pray for him.”I agreed. I ask her if she wanted to pray now and she said
“Someone else should do it cause she was just a kid.”
I told her that Jesus listens to kids who pray just the same as He listens to adults.
She was quiet for a couple of minutes and then she squeezed her eyes shut and folded her hands and she prayed the following.
“God is great. Thanks for our food. We pray for Larry. Goodbye God! Amen.”
Out of the mouths of babe often comes the truth.
For someone who is just a kid I’m sure God was please to hear her simple little prayer. We as adults often think that we must prayer a long elaborate prayer with lots of flowery phrases and requests. When really God just wants are simple praises and requests.
I am pretty sure He get excited to hear from us.
So let make it a habit of talking to him at the very least daily; if not several times a a day. I am assure you it will make your life better.

Heavenly Father, We praise you and thank you for our many blessing. Father, help us to call on you for all our needs. Reminds that you are always ready to hear our praises and requests. Help us to never be ashamed to talk to you. We ask you to watch over us and guide us.  In the name Jesus our Savior we pray. Amen
