Members of the Prince George’s County Police Department were called at approximately 3:20 p.m. on Feb. 4 to the 500 block of Abel Avenue in Capitol Heights for reports of a shooting with one person down.
Officers arrived to find Waldorf resident Ky-Mari Bowman with several gunshot wounds, according to authorities. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he eventually died of his injuries.
Detectives are currently investigating the shooting’s motivation and the identity of the gunman. The department reports that the crime does not appear to be random.
The horrific shooting is still under investigation.
