Medina man detained on felony charges involving a minor

The Medina Police Department responded to a report of a sex offense involving a minor on Feb. 6.

Officers discovered at 11:39 p.m. inside a home on Brynmar Lane that a minor had been secretly recorded while in a state of nudity inside a private bedroom.

According to police, the recording was located on a shared household computer.

Detectives responded to the location to preserve digital evidence and obtain a copy of the video.

Eric Christopher Dockery, 47, of Medina, was arrested shortly after being found at a different residence.

According to police, he is facing charges of voyeurism and illegal use of a juvenile in nudity-oriented material or performance.

The victim’s information will not be revealed owing to their age.

Detectives secured search warrants for various electronic devices, and the investigation is still underway.

The Medina Police Department stated that it worked in collaboration with Medina County Job and Family Services and made the necessary notifications to child protection authorities.
