Officers were dispatched to Sherman Hills Apartments in Wilkes-Barre at about 1:00 p.m. on February 16th to investigate a stabbing report.
911 was notified that a man, later identified as 28-year-old Ronald Bryant, had called and claimed to have stabbed a woman. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered the victim, a 27-year-old lady, standing in front of building 320 with two young children.
Officers reported that the woman was bleeding from her left forearm, and her children were coated in blood, which was later determined to be the victim’s.
The woman claimed she went to Bryant’s apartment to speak with him when he grew “irate over a text message and began yelling,” according to police reports. Bryant then got a huge knife and started stabbing the victim, according to the release.
The victim was rushed to the hospital with a huge laceration on her left forearm and a puncture wound in the center of her back.
