According to the St. Joseph County (Indiana) Police Department, a man wanted in St. Joseph County for failing to appear on four felony warrants connected to theft charges was discovered and apprehended in Niles on Tuesday.
Police identified the sought man as Jeffrey Davis, 48, who was also wanted out of Berrien County for cocaine possession.
Davis was discovered hiding in the basement of a home in the 500 block of 6th Street by the SJCPD Warrants Division, assisted by the US Marshals Service, Niles Police Department, and Berrien County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the complaint, Davis was taken into custody without incident and transported to Berrien County Jail.
