An incident in Massachusetts this week resulted in one man being arrested and another being covered in blood.
According to authorities, at approximately 11:23 p.m. on Monday, the Braintree Police Department responded to a stabbing report at 205 Wood Road, which is home to Wollaston Alloys. The caller reported that his coworker had been stabbed.
When the responding cops arrived, they discovered a big crowd waiting in the parking lot. When the cops exited their vehicles, the victim, subsequently identified as Jorge Monteiro of Taunton, raced toward them. The victim’s head, face, and hands were all coated in blood, and a blood-stained sweater was wrapped around his head.
When cops asked the crowd where the culprit was, they pointed to a male individual, later identified as Brockton resident Jose Martins, who was leaning against a vehicle.
The officers ordered the man to the ground, and he eventually obeyed. Martins was placed under arrest. Shortly after Martins was arrested, another member of the crowd approached and presented the knife purportedly used by Martins, which was taken as evidence.
Martins was escorted back to Braintree Police Department for booking, where he was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a knife. Assault and Battery with Serious Physical Injuries.
Brewster Ambulance transported the person to an area hospital for additional treatment after arriving cops administered emergency aid on the scene.
