A 22-year-old suspect has been detained for murder after a man was discovered stabbed to death in northwest Las Vegas over the weekend, according to police.
Justin Ringer was arrested on Wednesday, February 18, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
According to court records, his initial appearance is set for Thursday afternoon.
Several people dialed 911 at 5:45 p.m. On Saturday, February 14, Lt. Robert Price of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police reported an unconscious male bleeding in a parking lot near Buffalo Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard.
Officers discovered the man bleeding from apparent stab wounds, and medical professionals pronounced him dead on the scene.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified him as 29-year-old Daniel Ohayon, who died of sharp force injuries.
On Saturday, Price stated that homicide detectives believed the victim was with two or three other persons. At some point, they got into a fight, and one of them stabbed the victim with an unknown object before fleeing.
No more information about the probe has been revealed.
