A 19-year-old Dolton man has been charged with eight counts of first-degree murder in the death of a 68-year-old man, according to police.
On Monday, a grand jury indicted Steven Knox in the killing of Michael Arnold of Oak Forest.
Last month, Oak Forest police and fire officials responded to a complaint of an unresponsive person at a residence in the 15000 block of Sunset Avenue.
First responders located Arnold at the scene and pronounced him dead, according to authorities.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office later declared his death a murder.
Additional information on the case has not been disclosed.
Knox is due to appear for a detention hearing on Wednesday, February 25, at 9:30 a.m. in the Bridgeview Courthouse.
