Prosecutors in Clearfield County say a Morrisdale man was sentenced to up to 18 months in jail after pleading guilty to sexually abusing and impregnating a local teenager.
Last August, police arrested Louis Young, 26, after an investigation into the alleged assault of a 15-year-old girl.
According to investigators, Young was later identified as the father of the victim’s unborn child, which was apparently conceived during the assault.
According to officials, Young previously pleaded guilty to various charges in the case, including statutory sexual assault and corrupting of kids, and was sentenced to 9 to 18 months imprisonment.
District Attorney Ryan Sayers acknowledged that the state also looked into Young’s case and determined that he is not a sexually violent predator.
