Anne Arundel County Police apprehended a 25-year-old Curtis Bay man after allegedly witnessing a drug transaction in Glen Burnie late Monday.
According to authorities, on February 24th, at approximately 10:15 p.m., detectives from the Eastern District Strategic Patrol Team were in the 7900 block of Nolpark Court when they noticed an inhabited black Mercedes parked in a lot with Maryland registration plates belonging to another car.
While watching the car, police reported seeing a rear-seat passenger participate in a hand-to-hand drug transaction with someone in another vehicle.
Police claim that after making contact with the occupants of the Mercedes, they discovered items in the rear passenger that they believe were evidence of distribution.
The items contained 15.77 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 43.30 grams of suspected cannabis, a digital scale, and packaging materials.
The backseat passenger was apprehended and prosecuted.
Police identified the arrested man as Zion Donald Alexander Cole, 25, of Curtis Bay.
